I am a fan of middle-eastern food. For one, I’m Lebanese and I think I’m a fairly good judge.

Niko’s is great. The wine selection is wonderful. Niko’s is great at upselling.

The food is very tasty. I especially love lamb and theirs is to die for. The Greek salad is genuine and the desserts are very delectable.

However, I feel that I can get the same kind of tastiness, and even sometimes better food, at half or less than half the cost at other restaurants. Sure, the atmosphere is not nearly as nice.

A downside to Niko’s atmosphere…if you sit in the back room you are sitting directly inside the bus plaza. So all the passengers can watch you eat.

There is live music. When I last visited, I could not see the pianist, so I thought we were listening to a CD. Then when we got up to leave we realized someone was playing live.

Yes :-) Eric's review (Apr 2nd 2007)

On a Sunday night when things weren’t too busy we went to Niko’s after a Broadway show. This had to the be one of the best meals I have had in Spokane. The server was awesome and super nice. The portions are huge and could be easily split between two people. Go for the appetizer combo for a taste of everything. We stayed with the traditional Greek dishes and all three of us had great dinners. The wine list is massive with hundreds of wines. The beer list is decent, but could use a few more local micros. And don’t forget the baklava for dessert. I would highly recommend going to Niko’s for a great meal. Not super cheap, but worth it.

No :-( brent's review (Sep 22nd 2008)

Great service, great atmosphere, but the meal was just so bland. I went about a year ago and split a mixed grill for two. the chicken was bland, the skewers were good but nothing special (Lamb was undercooked), the fish (i believe it was sea bass) was just okay The rice was bland. The tomato garlic green beans were delicious, as well as the spicy prawns i had as an appetizer.

It almost seems worth it to go back just for the prawns. They were perfect; just the right amount spice and cooked perfectly. But considering how much i paid for the rest of the unimpressive meal, it’s really not worth it.
