Excellent food – French/Italian? Excellent sauces. Owner knows her stuff and takes active roll in waiting tables, discussing dishes and preparation. Small – could be a little warmer in decoration. You won’t be disappointed.
Fabulous Food – the owner and waitress is Sassy, I like her, fun, the food is great…I’m a regular now
We attempted to eat at Olive Oilz this past weekend. We called to get reservations, but were told that reservations were only accepted for parties of six or more. Being a party of four, we were denied reservations, but assured that we could drop in any time for dinner on Saturday evening.
We arrived at 7:45pm. The proprietress was sitting at the bar with two people drinking a glass of wine. When we walked in we were told that they had closed 15 minutes earlier.
My friends and I were left standing in the parking lot of a strip mall trying to figure out last minute dinner plans which we found particularly annoying since we had done everything we were supposed to do to ensure a relaxing and enjoyable night out. To add insult to injury, this was not the first time this happened. My friends previously attempted to eat dinner at Olive Oilz over the summer with similar results.
We will NOT be giving Olive Oilz a third try.
This place is excellent. The pasta is hand rolled. The bread is real. Also hand made from scratch. The brie soup is the best soup I have ever had.
I had the spinach and ricotta ravioli with roasted garlic cream sauce. I now dream of ravioli.
Everything is fresh and made from scratch.
The full bar and fine desserts make this my favorite dinner spot. the dinner specials run out by 8:00 this is not a late night hang out. it is however definitely worth it.
Great food, excellent service and cozy.
