The fact that Spokane now has its own Olympia is definitely a good thing, although “Santorini’s” doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.
Regardless, if you have visited the Coeur d’Alene location, you know what you can expect here. Great tasting simple Greek food like gyros, falafels worthy of Bill O’Reilly, and an amazing chocolate baklava is paired with more traditional dinner dishes like the classic moussaka.
Also like its Idahoan cousin, the interior has a decidedly old world feel.
Overall, this is a great down to earth place to try out some good food fast, and a good alternative to Mexican food. Awesome.
I’ve eaten at Santorini’s several times and love it. The Gyros are quite tasty and Spanokopita is the best I’ve had here in Spokane. The proprietors were friendly and service was good. All in all, a great addition to the downtown Spokane restaurant scene!
Yum yum yum! Everything we had was amazing – lemon chicken soup, gyros, spanokopita, hummus, a Greek red wine.
Santorini’s needs to stay open later on the weekends, at least for the summer – they have a great patio but close at 8pm!
Finally a place in Spokane to get really good Gyros. The gyros had a lot of meat in them and the chocolate baklava was a great way to end the meal.
A Great place for a nice dinner!!!
Do yourself a favor and eat here. Food and staff were awesome.
I love this place. Been their with friends @ least 12 times. Every new person(s) I bring loves the food and service, even if they’ve never had Greek food before. Going again Saturday!! Yum Yum Yum !!
Hello Santorinis, goodbye azars!
Today was my first time here, ‘been trying all kinds of restaurants since moving here from Southern California and haven’t really found anyplace that just zings – ‘till today! I had the gyro w/soup combo, the best gyro I’ve had in a long time, and the lemon soup was to die for! I’m gonna start buying quarts of the stuff and taking it home! The service was fast and thorough, they really took care of us. The restaurant was neat and clean… I’m going back!
I am Greek until you people have real Greek food, visit Greece. The food is American Greek Food, the spanikopita tasted like they used lettuce and turnip greens instead of 100% spinach, too many eggs, no buttery taste, cut back on the Mazzola oil, that is a Greek trick. The soup was not homemade, it came from FSA or Sysco. My family has a greek restaurant in Tarpon Springs Florida. I know greek food!
Until the above poster opens a restaurant HERE, I will happily continue to patronize Santorini’s. It’s cheaper than flying to Greece or Tarpon Springs, Fla.
Fabulous! We lived in Greece for two years and Santorini’s IS the “real Greek food.” Great food~Great service!!
Cheap. Tasteless.
Overpriced.
Sounds like Greek food in Spokane.
