A sub sandwich shop located on Division... Sub Division… Yeah, somebody was thinking.

I will give Sub Division this, and I’ll actually give them quite a bit, they certainly don’t try to mask the flavor of the meat with a bunch of condiments. That’s really OK, as the meat seemed to have a bit more oomph to them than most sub shops provide. To me it seems like they might be using a higher quality meat than what the norm is, or it might possibly just be fresher. Or better stored. Whatever the reason is, the meat tastes less vacuum sealed than what I’m used to, and that is a good thing.

Other than that it looks like the guys and gals at Sub Division takes more of a Soup Nazi approach to subs. You don’t choose your toppings, just sub type, and theres a superbly efficient assembly line that has your sub done in about a minute. The greens and vegetables all were good too, if not as fresh as Sparky’s.

Sub Division makes an excellent sandwich, and anybody who doesn’t check them out would be a douche.

Yeah, I went there.

Yes :-) barman's review (Jul 23rd 2008)

Is there a crummier location for a sub shop than this? You can’t walk here, the parking would be atrocious if you could get there at all, it’s actually easiest to go down the alley off of northbound Ruby to avoid sideswiping the pole in the middle of the driveway from Division. No wonder the 7-11 closed.

Is there any future owner (in what appears to be a series of owners since this place was a “Rush Room”) that will take down the faded Snapple signs and old posters? The current folks swabbed it out, thank you.

Is there no way anyone else can make a decent sub in this town? Fresh ingredients, a really wonderful bread, a well balanced combination of veggies and meat. An ample sandwich, about a buck cheaper than anyone else, outside the large chains’ current 5-buck suicide attempt. Very much reminiscent of a pre-Subway small town New England grinder. Simple, fresh, tasty. And you’re outa there in only a few minutes.

Quick service, decent price, great sandwich. Grab a cold German lager at Jim’s up the street, a sub here, and head for Mission Park on a summer day. Dandy lunch.
