If you like getting up early and gorging on gluttonous foods, Donut Parade is the place to be. I am only partial to the latter, but if I find myself with a few extra minutes on a day I am up early, I absolutely LOVE Donut Parade. This is a donut shop straight that probably would have fit right in 50 years ago; except for their prices, everything is totally kitsch. The donuts are made right there, and it is a locally-owned business. They have incredible donuts you won’t find anywhere else—orange glazed, cherry glazed, applesauce. But call ahead: I have found out from experience not all of their trademark flavors are available every day. They are only open M-F and only until the early afternoon at the latest but are totally worth the inconvenience.

Absolute donut perfection…have never had better. They’ve been doing this for a long time, and do it better than anyone.
