I have been there a couple of times and thought they did a very good job with the pansit, chicken adobo and absolutely loved the halo halo! The flan is to die for and great lumpia! Definitely a place I will go back to and have gone back to often!
The lechon kawali is “killer”. I know my doctor wont approve, but it just something about that deep fried pork. The Kalderata, pork sinigang, and lumpia are also my faves….real soda with pure cane sugar! (not high fructose corn syrup)! This spot is definitely my favorite when I wan that down home Philippine cooking.
Kusina Filipina is my first – and only to-date – experience with Filipino food, and I loved it! The owners are wonderful people and I really hope this little restaurant survives. Everything I’ve tried was great, although the lumpia has to be my favorite. And if you do go, definitely try the halo halo – it’s an experience!
Kusina is right by the Rent-a-Center on the south side of Francis at Nevada, across from Zip’s.
