Feel like a light, broth based soup? Soulful Soups may not be the place for you, as most of their stuff is high on both cream and butter. It all taste pretty good though, and I can easily recommend the tomato bisque. The portions are large, so a safe bet is to go with ‘regular’. I’d be afraid to see what a ‘large’ would look like.

I have had the tomato bisque, taco soup, sausage and chicken gumbo, and the smoked salmon chowder all with the delicious beer bread and they were all wonderful!!!

Definitely go for the Tomato Bisque. It’s incredible. And the salads are great too. I know this because on more than one occasion salad was all they had to choose from because they ran out of soup. Go early…they close at 3 and run out of soup often.

My only complaint about Soulful is that they ALWAYS run out of soup well before they close. I mean, it can’t really be that hard to make enough soup to last the 5 hours they are open each day. Other than that (grabbing lunch to go on my 10.45 break is annoying but solves the problem) their food is phenomenal and pretty dang cheap. Beer bread is fantastic. I like cheesy broccoli soup and love that they almost always have a vegetarian option. I look forward to them being open on Saturdays during ‘soup season’.
