Yes :-) Remi's review (Apr 10th 2006)

Worst. Name. Ever.
Why on earth anybody would open a place called Sushi.com in 2005 is beyond me. In fact, why would anybody open a place called Sushi.com without owning the domain name? And to add insult to injury SpokaneSushi.com—Sushi.com’s menu reads “Spokane Sushi.com”—is owned by the company that runs Raw and Okane, both competing sushi restaurants. I don’t even think Sushi.com has a web site.
But while the name is horrible, the food isn’t.
I’m not going to pretend that I’m a sushi expert, but I do know what tastes good and what doesn’t. And Sushi.com does serve up some tasty and fresh dishes. Not that I was entirely sure what I was eating at all times, but I now know that I do enjoy eel. Which, you know, is kind of cool. They also have some well balanced spicy dishes, which won’t burn your tongue off, but still have plenty of flavor. Make sure to try the Caterpillar for some simple but nice plating.
In best In & Out Burger—and I assume also standard sushi restaurant—style there are also plenty of items that aren’t on the menu. I liked the Harley Davidson, although I’m not quite sure where it got its name from. They also seem pretty open for requests, so if there’s something you want, ask.
Although I sadly think they wouldn’t agree to a name change.
Yes :-) Stefan's review (May 25th 2006)
People ask me everyday “Stefan where do you get your sushi?”
Well up until today I relegated myself to the occasional Seattle trip to feed my sushi habit. But now that I have discovered Sushi.com or as my peer group calls it: “the dot com”. Sure the name could use some help but now that it’s been around for about a year I wouldn’t change it for anything.
The sushi is fantastic and the Harley Davidson roll is not to be missed. Also the highlight of the meal was a very special Copper River Salmon sushi. I can’t even tell you how buttery and great it was. It is something special and is not to be missed.
It’s a bit on the spendy side but the fact is that it’s the only game in town that does what it does(if that makes any sense).
So what’s the dish?: In the future Sushi.com will be regarded as a Spokane landmark. People will travel from great distances to partake in its glory. Its significance will only truly be understood in the years to come. I’m definitely a dot comer. Are you?

The sushi was soso (it was about as good as at Todai in Seattle), for Spokane Ill admit its pretty good but otherwise I have deffinately had better. Their Yakisoba was BAD, Super dry flavorless nothing like my girlfriend has made me before, also the Soba noodles were overcooked. Ill give them a Yes Smiley simply because their Nabeyaki Udon was good when I was sick.
Akis (Raw) and Takara are better
Updated review:
Well something must have changed since the last time I went there as tonight some friends convinced me to go check it out again and truthfully… It wasnt that bad, spicy dragon roll was pretty good. and the Tonkatsu was good crispy and moist, very pleasent surprise to say the least.
Yes :-) Sara's review (Jun 27th 2006)
I have found a new favorite place to eat, and I didn’t even try the sushi yet. My brother-in-law, husband and our 2 yr. old daughter decided to give The Dot Com a go, having heard such great things about it, but we were actually really hungry, so just a plate of rolls wasn’t going to cut it, so we all (excluding my daughter who shared with us) ordered dinner combination plates. My beef teriyaki and chicken katsu were perfect—- the salad, rice, miso soup (which I tried and liked even though it was warm outside) were also delicious. Even the orange slice that came with it was good, and you received a large amount of food for only $8.50. My brother-in-law ordered the same thing, only with chicken teriyaki and he wished he could take the restaurant home with him to Vegas. My husband did the beef teriyaki and with the California rolls ($9.50, I believe) and everything was gone in no time. Our daughter seemed to enjoy the chicken katsu, but she wasn’t feeling well, so it’s hard to say. Overall, the staff was attentive, friendly and didn’t mind stashing our stroller in a back corner while we ate. We’ll definitely be back.

Yes, sushi.com is a terrible name, but their sushi is pretty tasty. I love the spicy tuna roll, just the right amount of wasabi. Definitely a place to try if you like raw fish…
Yes :-) Cassidy's review (Mar 9th 2007)
Although the owners are not Japanese the sushi and menu is very well-developed.
Try K1 and K2, these are their specialty rolls. They are very tasty. He likes to blend a lot of different sauces and flavors.
The tempura shrimp and veggetables are a great appetizer, definitely get the miso soup. My husband and I usually sit at the sushi bar and order just sushi, but on the occasions we have ordered “real dinners” they have been great too. Especially for those who are scared of the whole concept or if you’re pregnant there are other alternatives to the sushi.
The Spider roll, Rock n’Roll, Rainbow Roll (downside Krab with a “K”), and spicy tuna rolls are good. If you like Yellowtail (Hamachi) this is the most fresh fish they have.
This is the best sushi place in town.

I have been there 3 times now, and I want to go every week!!! I love it so much. If you go there, definetly try the miso soup, it is so good. If it’s your first time getting sushi, I recomend getting the Rainbow Roll. Its good to start out with. If you do like sushi, try the Kyle roll, the spicy tuna in it is delicious. When you done with your meal make SURE to get desert! Their deep fried ice-cream is THE best desert I have ever had!

Their sushi is excellent. Prior to trying the dot com, I was a huge fan of the other sushi joint (Raw) and thought they had the best sushi, but if I had to pick between the two, this place gets my vote for sure. Wide variety on their menu and the harley davidson is a MUST if you haven’t tried it. The rolls are big and full of explosive flavor. Yum…

I love Sushi.com (and the roll by the same name!) This has turned into my regular sushi joint! Service is always attentive, and able to make recommendations. Prices are fair. Lots of choices of unique and traditional rolls, as well as fantastic nigiri! They seem to have a wide array of fresh fish at any time. I have honestly never had anything bad here! The decor is a little lacking, dark and a bit dated, but you’re not there to eat the decor are you? I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for decent sushi in Spokane.

This is by far the best sushi place in this town. I had eaten nothing but sushi from the supermarkets before I tried this place. It’s definitely a GOOD shock!
Yes :-) Ashley's review (May 8th 2008)
Not being a fan of seafood, it took a while for my boyfriend to convince me to eat at sushi.com. Once he discovered this place he literally wanted sushi for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The first time he talked me in to going I was a wuss and ordered the teriyaki chicken. To my surprise it was very good. So the next time we went we sat at the sushi bar and I decided to be adventurous and try a veggie roll. It was heavenly. Then I was really brave and had a piece of my boyfriends roll (I think it was salmon). And to my amazement it was also delicious! I never knew raw fish was less “fishy” than cooked fish. I do feel kind of cool now that I eat sushi. Moral of the story, even if you are nervous like I was, give sushi.com a chance. You’ll be glad you did.
