Brevity here is key. We all know my stance on God’s coffee. It perplexes me. Confuses me. Honestly, it downright befuddles me. Kootenai Coffee in Coeur d’Alene is part of the trend. Yes, the brick building is beautiful and the giant coffee cup planter needs to come home with me, but I just can’t stomach the psalms on the walls. Before you hit “Send” realize it’ll go unread.

Kootenai Coffee roasts their beans in house for an extremely dark blend. They also serve an array of baked goods. But if in North Idaho head south to Cafe DOMA or west to Black Tie for a better cup.

I discovered this coffee house a couple of months ago. I am a latte lover. I have been happy with my lattes that I have purchased from kootenai coffee. This is more then just a coffee house, they have the most wonderful desserts and the nicest people working there. All around I think it is a wonderful establishment that I will continue to visit. Highly recommended.

I have only visited once, but I was disappointed. My wife had a cup of their in-house roasted coffee and I had a pastry from the case. We left both the coffee and pastry unfinished; very rare for us. The place is beautiful, but the food does not compare with the architecture.

Loved the food and coffee. You can go in for a visit or use drive through. Everyone is very friendly and food is all home made. Great soups, pastries and quiches. I would recommend breakfast burrito personally.

I bring my 2 year old daughter in on the weekends and they have a few books and toys onsite to entertain as well.
