Disheveled and tired, I’d swear the Shook Twins gave up the impossible dream and decided to become the dynamic DOMA servin’ duo at Grinders. A small sip of the smooth liquid caffeine and the notion quickly disappeared. The scarf-clad gals in the contemporary espresso stand on east Trent were just really into the coffee. And they wanted to make me a regular, despite my ragamuffin appearance.

And I just might have to take Trent to work more often. The coffee at Grinders is almost as good as the awe-inspiring shots a Lindaman’s. My hazelnut latte tasted like a deep roasted combination of smooth chocolate and earthy nuts. The syrup flavoring was very subtle, almost not there. Just as I like it. The rich coffee was the center of the latte. And it was allowed to shine.As a side note, my sixteen ounce latte was reasonably priced. It cost much less than a similar cup at Fourbucks. Just remember to bring cash or a check to Grinders. They don’t accept credit or debit cards. Be prepared to wait a while as well. Word has spread in the Valley and motorists are lining up. Each order is freshly brewed to ensure quality and a stop at Grinders is well worth the wait.

They now serve Bumper Crop Coffee. And its amazing. The owner is down to earth and devoted to his craft which is expressed through each drink prepared at Grinders. not just a cup of coffee.. an experience in its own right. Gain a new perspective on “coffee stands” and try it for yourself.

I don’t live in the valley any more but I sure do miss this place! Grinders is the best coffee shop in the valley.
