My girlfriend has been telling me for months how great Cap’n Juicy is. For whatever reason I have had a hard time getting excited about a hot dog. I guess more then anything I see a hot dog more as a food that goes with specific locations: high school lunch rooms, baseball games ect. So it’s been hard for me to take the plunge. So finally today after another harrowing day at Riverpark Square I decided that I had lived long enough on my pedestal and would come down and eat with the people.

Oddly enough, the people were pretty much just like me.

But the wieners the wieners were great! (insert joke here)

There are many options at Cap’n Juicy but I recommend their standard fare which is kosher hot dog on a bun. I briefly considered getting a second hot dog but found I was probably more inclined at that point to take a nap.

If you are planning on doing anything productive with the rest of your day I suggest walking off your hot dog in beautiful River Front park.

What’s the dish?: Spending your lunch hour people watching outside of the downtown Rite-Aid is pretty much tops for me, but doing it while enjoying a kosher hot dog somehow makes it all that much more enjoyable.

They aren’t called Super Duper for no reason, people!

The little courtyard is a nice place to take a break and down a dog as well with both the aforementioned people watching and the gotta-love-it so-Spokane fountain.
