Yes :-) Jennifer's review (Jul 3rd 2006)

I learned two things at Comstock Park this weekend: Remi pronounces hyperbole as high-per-bowl and I really don’t like Cravens Coffee. I’ve yet to find a Cravens blend I enjoy. I’m sure one is out there, but I haven’t found it yet. Every time I see the Cravens logo in the window of a coffee shop I wince a little and then order up hoping this time I’ll like it. It’s pretty rare I order coffee twice at shops serving Cravens. And that’s no hyperbole.

I do enjoy the fresh sandwiches and bread at Great Harvest. Every once in awhile it’s nice to eat a solid home-style sandwich. They taste even better when someone else makes them. But as for the coffee, I wasn’t able to finish drinking my iced latte. Perhaps mixed with a bit of chocolate or sweet caramel syrup and then topped with a dollop of whipped cream, the coffee would have been palatable. But then again, it wouldn’t be the coffee I’d be tasting.

Yes :-) Stefan's review (Jun 6th 2006)

Great Harvest Bread Company is home of some of the best sandwiches in Spokane. They understand that what truly makes an amazing sandwich is a good meat to cheese ratio. Second to that the bread must be good.

What I don’t understand is why some places feel the need to burden me (and other patrons I assume) with massive amounts of meat and cheese. First of all too much meat drowns out the finer flavors that the veggies should provide. Secondly, it makes it hard to eat. I once pulled a muscle in my jaw area trying to get a good mouthful of sandwich. Ideally you should get a little bit of everything when you bite into the before mentioned sandwich.

Restaurants should really pay me for this insight. Oh, and I almost forgot. They have really great cinnamon raisin bread.
Great Harvest also carries some fantastic brownies and cookies. They are always welcome additions to a sandwich.

So what’s the dish?: Great Harvest Bread Company makes a great sandwich. But that’s not all. Get some cinnamon bread and a brownie and you will be a happy camper.

I eat at Great Harvest a couple times a week for lunch. They have a variety of excellent salads everyday and great sandwiches! I would definitely recommend this place! Great service too!
