Fiesta Mexicana is Mexican cuisine made the American way, and I mean that in the words’ truest sense. This is the kind of food you can make at home when you’re feeling particularly lazy and Sandra Lee’s promise of “70% storebought” excellence sounds tempting. Feeling like a Mission hard shelled taco filled with meat, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes? Fiesta Mexicana is the place to go if you run out of shells at home and don’t feel like going to the grocery store.

The plate I had when I made the mistake of visiting Fiesta Mexicana also came with rice and beans, which in all likelihood came from a can, as well as a rather flavorless chili relleno. I suppose this complemented the dull taco well.

There’s not a whole lot more to be said about this South Hill joint. Giant plates with bland food might be good enough for some, but I trust that the tendentious TEOer will want to steer clear of Fiesta Mexicana seeing the Tasty Triangle is only feet away.

I am sad to see the review given by the staff. Fiesta Mexicana is a wonderful place. I go there about once or twice a month, the staff there is very friendly and they all know who we are, and Ruben even knows our regular orders. Sure the beans are probably store bought but the main dishes can be amazing. All the beef dishes are fantastic. It is not expensive and always fast, so since I can’t seem to put my recommendation into words I would encourage you to visit at least once. And don’t make the mistake of getting a taco, if you want that go to Taco Bell.

Sometimes you gotta grade things on the curve, my man. We’re not living in Santa Fe, LA, or Yakima for that matter. Fiesta Mexicana is the ONLY mexican restaurant in the area that doesn’t taste exactly like every other Mexican restaurant in the area. Compared to Rancho this, Rancho that and Azteca, this little place is excelente.

I have had the best service and great food there every time I visit. I have been going since it first opened and the quality of service has never once been an issue. Fast and friendly always. I’m a huge fan.

This is one of my favorite Mexican places. The margaritas are to die for and the service is excellent. Whether you are getting the nachos from the appetizer menu or an entree be prepared to leave full and satisfied. My favorite are the taquitos.

My order was botched and the food tasted like it was cooked yesterday. The staff was confused and it looked to me like they were afraid of the boss. The food is inferior to Taco Bell’s standardized offerings, but costs much more. I was very disappointed, to say the least. I am not going back for seconds.

This place is fabulous, I have never had any thing that I did not like. My favorite is the pollo azada burrito. Heavenly low fat mexican food that is so good you do not miss the cheese and sour cream. Travis one of the owners is always helpful and has catered many times for me and it is always excellent. Try this you will not be disappointed.

I am not a fan of greasy gloppy “Mexican” food that leaves you feeling ill and looking for a bathroom. However, a couple of my co-workers eat at Fiesta Mexicana almost religiously. So, it was a Friday, month end, had to meet deadlines they deliver AND take a debit card over the phone. I looked through the menu once and decided not to order. When prodded again I scanned their offerings a second time and chose the Burrito de Papa, which is essentially a giant breakfast burrito—scrambled eggs, bacon, some kind of red sauce and fried potatoes and a side of guacamole. It sounded pretty good. When the food arrived, the delivery guy was nice enough once he turned off his obnoxious self phone. My food came with the usual greasy beans topped with greasier cheese and rice. The rice was pretty good I thought. The burrito was huge. It had a decent flavor to it. The bacon in the burrito was soggy, the potatoes hard and undercooked. A few bites into my burrito I noticed something hard and crunchy. At first I thought it was my imagination. Upon closer inspection it was egg shells! My burrito was full of egg shells. $14 seems a lot to spend just to get a half cooked burrito with egg shells. I was disappointed. I should have gone with my gut feeling and not eaten there. I won’t do it again or recommend it to anyone.

The kind of food you make at home, indeed. Actually, I probably could have done better than this at home. I ordered the Expresso Vegetarian Burrito. It was delivered extremely quickly, but there was nothing remarkable about it. It is something I could have made when I worked at Taco Time…or if I popped down to the store and bought tortillas, minute rice, tomatoes, beans in a can, enchilada sauce mix, and some cotija cheese. $10 for this?!

They don’t pour your water for you, just bring you glasses full of ice and a full pitcher, because they are apparently too lazy to do their jobs. Consequently I spilled water all over the table. The waitress wanted to take my plate when I was halfway done and made us feel very rushed (shame on me for wanting to enjoy some conversation with my meal).

If you are in the mood for Mexican you will be much better off going down the street to Qdoba than setting foot in Fiesta Mexicana. And that’s not saying much.

Service was very slow and they were not busy. Food was okay but nothing to write home about. There are just to many better places to go.
