Last night we went out for my son’s belated birthday dinner. His choice was the Spokane Wolf Lodge. We all chose the Lil Dude-a 12 oz Top Sirloin. It is served with a salad, the kids chose Caesar salads, and I chose the house salad with blue cheese dressing. I love their salad, it’s nothing fancy but the lettuce is nice and cool and the blue cheese dressing tangy with lots of chunks of blue cheese.

You can’t go wrong with the Lil Dude,it was flavorful and charbroiled to perfection. We all had our Dudes medium rare. I don’t think I have ever had a bad steak here and trust me I have eaten quite a few of them.

We all had baked potatoes with lots of butter, sour cream and chives. I sometimes forget how much I love a fat loaded baked potato.

We had a choice of mixed veges or baked beans. I went with the beans, kinda smoky sweet in a good way. My daughter chooses the sauteed zucchini, onions and green peppers. These veges are not my favorite. I think they’re bland.
The atmosphere is kind of a 70s dimmly lit ski lodge/ steak house.

If you’re looking for a good old steak and baked potato, check it out.

Best steak we have found in a long time.

My husband took me here recently for drinks and appetizers for my birthday and I have to say it’s wonderful.
We sat down by the fire and enjoyed a generous glass (or two) of red wine and we ordered the shrimp skewers which were delicious! The house bread they serve was very good also.
The service was also very friendly and prompt.
Highly recommended for a romantic evening.

My girlfriend and I decided that we would try the spokane wolf lodge after going to the coeur d’ alene for years. All I can really say is it was the ultimate in disappointment. I know we should have gone in giving a fresh start and fresh chance, but when you use the name of another HIGHLY regarded restaurant, you should at least be in the same ballpark, my friends, they weren’t even playing the same sport! The escargot (a house specialty.) was atrocious, the sauce was soooo disgusting! The garlic was awful. The pasta dish she ordered had the same disgusting sauce all over it. Cream sauce or Aoli? The menu said each dish had it’s own sauce, clearly they were the same! GROSSS! The only positive I can take from the experience was the pork chops, slightly overcooked but not revolting like the rest of it. Go to Couer d’ alene!!!!! You won’t be disappointed.

We recieved a gift card for our recent marriage from my husbands work. We had the crab and artichoke dip for an appetizer. It was AWESOME. I so want the recipe. I had the prawns scampi style and it was good. My husband had one of their steaks and it was good size, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. I was very good.

Wow, what a great dinner!! I’ve been hearing for years how I need to try this place, and we finally did!! Service was great, even though they were packed. Atmosphere was really cozy and the food was awesome!!! I had the ribeye & salmon and both were cooked to perfection!! And what great flavor! My boyfriend had the porterhouse and it was fantastic too!! He also had the Baked Potato Soup and I was jealous – definitely go for that. Everything was great and I can’t wait to go back.
