This is a great intimate, sit-down Mexican restaurant. While they are much smaller than the other big chain in town, they always have a full house. Don’t worry though, because the engaging host(ess) & waitstaff will get you to a table pretty quickly. The chips are served hot & the salsa has a nice bite without searing your taste buds. Our favorite by far is the Arroz con Pollo. I swear I would give up my right arm to have that recipe. The best part of the meal is the delicious little dessert chips they bring with the check. They are fried & sprinkled with cinnamon & sugar. Topped with strawberry sauce & whipped cream. We are always stuffed after eating Mexican food (all those chips), so the 1 dessert chip per person they serve is perfect to end your meal on a sweet note.

I’ve had great meals at the NW Blvd. location of Rancho Chico, and one terrible meal at the North Division branch. I hear this is a chain run by different members of the same extended family. If so, go with the more functional bunch on NW Blvd! Up north the service was horrible, my burrito was burnt, and I was outta there!

The one on Northwest Blvd. is fabulous! The staff is so happy and energetic. They make every customer feel as if they were best friends. The chips and salsa is to DIE for! I like the mild salsa, but you have to ask for it. They also have a sauce made from peanut butter. It sounds gross, but it is the best ever. That is the sauce they use for the Arroz con Pollo. VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED!!!

Rancho Chico on Northwest Blvd is the pinnacle of authentic food and authentic customer service! The food is always fresh, reliable, and delicious. And the owners and wait staff are always kind and hospitable! I love you, Rancho Chico!!

The Northwest Blvd. location is wonderful. The staff is attentive, the food is delicious and the drinks are not watered down. The only downfall is that the staff whistles to each other coming in and out of the kitchen. Will go back, again and again.

I was a regular at the North Division location for over 10 years until the Army moved my husband and I to New York. Rancho Chico is my first and last stop when I come home to visit and for good reason! I have always received the same warm, friendly, speedy service and the food is just supreme. I grew up going to this restuarant, and with its staff. Visit it! You’ll become addicted like me! :)
