I have eaten any many a steak restuarant around the country, including the much raved about Ruth Crist Steakhouse, and none of them have ever come close to Spencer’s incredible food. I challenge anyone to eat there and not enjoy every bit of it. Treat yourself tonight!

You eat first with your eyes.
If a chopped, not torn, red leaf salad sans anything other than croutons is your thing than this is your house salad. Perhaps you prefer a hunk of meat, and only a hunk of meat, on your plate then this is your place.
Spencer’s boasts of attentive service, innovative side dishes, and aged steaks. Let’s try pitiful service, barely cooked veggies with hollandaise in a plastic cup that do not come with your dinner and an over salted steak on a plain plate. Seventy five dollars for two with no alcoholic beverages and people rave about this place? By the way, the veggies were $6.75 on the “ala carte” menu and arrived ten minutes after the entree.
I have done, and can do better, on my home grill.

Ah, gentle eater, best stick to the Sizzler for all you can eat over cooked vegetables. Spencer’s is classic ala carte steak house dining. Truly reminiscent of Chicago or NY. White jacket servers, silent and stelth like slip in at all the right moments.
Excellent beef, and if anything is not to your liking it is removed and corrected without hesitation.
The best steak in town! Consistently.
