Yes :-) Julie's review (Sep 17th 2006)

I’d been curious to try it out and talked my husband into stopping there for dinner awhile back. We were early, first dinner guests for the evening. My husband took that as ‘Not a good sign’. But even Mr. Picky was pleasantly surprised and delighted with his dinner. He selected one of their dinner specials – a fettuccine dish with shrimp. From the menu I had the halibut dinner. I love halibut but often find it overcooked and dry- not so at Cosmopolitan Cafe. It was excellent. Portion size was perfect. This is definitely a place I want to return to and only wish I lived closer to it. The decor is simple but the food is where they put their attention.

Yes :-) barman's review (Sep 24th 2006)

We showed up for a anniversary celebration, just the two of us. The decor? Well, they do pretty well for a 70’s strip mall. The menus from the famous restaurants of old are fascinating. Nobody else was there. Four staff. The waiter/owner was chatty. I had a beefsteak dish and my bride had a chicken breast dish. Wine list? Some inexpensive wines (less than 20 bucks) all the way to wow prices. We chose the recommended wine and it was great. Service (even though we were alone) was perfect, not hovering. The food was superb, cooked exactly right, and the bill was fine. I’ve thought for a couple of years now this place was one of those you wish you’d gone to because you can’t get a res. If they were on 29th, you could’t eat there for months.

Yes :-) Mary H's review (Jan 7th 2007)

Owner Tim Hanley is an excellent conversationalist if you want to chat, if not, he will give you your space. I miss the salad bar from the lunch days with the unusual combinations of salads and fantastic soups.

Dinner is terrific, but I live sufficiently far enough away that to go there is a destination event.
