Another morning in Spokane Valley and another morning of bad, bad coffee. Seriously, someone send me in the right direction. I need help. Grinders near Trent and Sullivan is fantastic, but there has to be somewhere else in all that vastness.

Anyhow, after sadly discovering Shopko doesn’t open until 8am, I popped over to the new drive-through coffee stand opposite the box store on Sprague. Orange Thomas Hammer logos plastered the new building and, never one to pass up their signature Fireball latte, I decided to give Mudslingers a try. I was worried the moment I pulled in. There, in huge letters, was a sign proclaiming Mudslingers as the fastest coffee in town. Uh-oh. Fast coffee is hardly ever good coffee.
Mudslingers is so fast they didn’t even wait for me to drive up to the window. Before I knew it, a brunette popped out of the stand and took my order. An eight ounce dry cappuccino. She didn’t flinch. But, seriously, thirty seconds later she was already back with my cup. I never even made it to the window! And the coffee barely made it past my lips.
There’s no way the shots of espresso she brought me hadn’t been sitting for some time. Nastiness in a cup. Quick and cheap, but still nasty.

I go here every year and have never had a bad experience or cup of joe. I think they have the best coffee in town.
