Bad drinks, bad food, bad service – avoid!!

The S/O wanted a burger, and being new to Spokane, we had no idea where to go. So we’re driving down Sprague, we see the Iron Horse (sign says bar & grill so we had high hopes). We go in and take a seat in the bar area hoping for speedy service. This is obviously not the hotspot, as the patrons are all over 40 and look primarily like truckers.

Drinks: Worst Bloody Mary I’ve ever had. Period. Food: Took nearly 45 minutes to come out – and there wasn’t more than a handful of people in the place. S/O’s burger was overcooked to the point of near charring. Italian Sausage sandwich also the worst I’ve ever had. Took another 30 minutes to get the check and then another 15 to get someone to process it (we had to take it up to the bar to get someone’s attention). All the while the waitresses were chatting and re-applying makeup in plain view.

I’d say without hesitation, avoid eating here at all costs.

On a visit to The “Horse” for cocktails, visit with friends and maybe dinner, the owner was working the crowd (his obvious friends, didn’t talk to newbies) and then started yelling at one of the bartenders. NOT a way to impress me. Something happened on the weekend and by the time he was through I wanted to cry. The service was slowwwwwwwww, the drink weak and over priced. We had one cocktail, (they started a tab we didn’t ask for) and had to tell them we only had one drink each not 3. Witnesses helped on that one. They always seem to be busy but you must have to be a friend of the owners to get service.
