I have been very pleased with my two visits to the Fort Ground Grill. On my first visit, I had their trout dinner. It arrived as a beautiful plate with 1/3 each of fish, rice, and vegetables. The flavors were all fantastic. I don’t remember what the others in my party ordered, but they were pleased as well.

On my second visit, I had the spinach salad. This is wonderful! They have a house maple vinaigrette dressing that is absolutely delicious. I also tried the Bananas Foster for dessert. I was excited to see it, because not many places make it. It was very good. The ice cream was a bit too rich and creamy for my taste, but the bananas were caramelized perfectly and the results were delicious.

My only complaint is the fact that the menu says they have a selection of the Northwest’s best microbrews on tap, but in reality they have the same micros as most other places (Alaskan Amber,etc.)

I visited the Fort Ground for the first time today and had the spinach salad. The maple vinaigrette dressing is fabulous and makes the salad as fabulous as it is. I cannot wait to go back again and try more of their dishes. The atmosphere is friendly and warm and the service is great as well.
