Good southwestern style food, just don’t go there expecting authentic Mexican.
The fettuccine was great. The prices were competitive, atmosphere comfortable, staff was attentive and helpful.
We haven’t tried drinks yet, except Pepsi, but it was a good experience all around and we will be going back soon.

I would absolutely recommend Tecate Grill. I love the freshness of the food and the excellent service. The margaritas are always a great choice. Whether it’s wintertime indoors or summertime on the patio the atmosphere is great and the staff helpful.
My husband and I both love the food if for no other reason than it’s not the “typical” Mexican food. Try the Carne Asada and Mojo de Ajo with black beans – yum!

One thing about Tecate Grill: it’s different. And that’s in a good way. Compared to the other sit-down Mexican-style restaurants, the menu is full of items you don’t see in your standard Corona-branded place. The only item that looked like something from it’s cousin, Azteca, was a Colorado beef dish. Even the standards are tweaked, making them different.
The night my wife and I went it was empty at first. That’s likely because we arrived at 5 pm. By time we left at 6, Tecate was full. The chips we got tasted freshly made and the wagon wheel-shaped fried dough tasted like a slightly spicy Cheeto. Nothing wrong with that!
My wife ordered the Tecate burrito with steak. The thing was massive – it would make the kids at Ionic shake their heads in amazement. But the steak was tender and flavorful and everything else was tasty. Yes, it came with sour cream and guacamole, but those were on top and could easily be left off. Since my wife likes sour cream, she kept it. It proved too much for her, but tasty it was.
I went with the ranchero enchilada skillet. Think more lasagna than enchilada on this one. Plenty of chicken, green enchilada sauce and veggies between three tortillas (red, yellow, and blue) and served in a small cast iron skillet with rice and black beans on the side. The flavors worked well together and the chicken was tender and not dry. Only complaint would be that the rice was light on flavor, but it seemed to counter the many flavors in the dish.
The service was very good and consistent, as our water and soda glasses were always being refilled. And our plates were taken after both of us were done, always a good sign.
In short, Tecate Grill has good service and a menu that is just different enough to stand out. And from what we had, they execute the menu very well. We will be back.

We have eaten at Tecate about five times and the food is always excellent. Service has always been good and the prices are very reasonable. I like the menu because they think out of the box on the mexican dishes. I had the steak burrito which is huge and the steak is tender and tasty. My wife had the southwest enchiladas which are different than the traditional, but I think are better. They also have some menu items that are not mexican to please those not in the mood for mexican. Go there and have a Tecate or Margarita and enjoy a great meal.
